The following project shows essence/aether gathering and rift locations across the maps of Atreia. By contrast they live on the inside of the hemisphere halves of the planet.ĭue to a catalytic event during the Millennium War, the Tower of Eternity is now broken, and rifts in the fabric of space known collectively as the Abyss now occupy much of the center of Atreia. The two races don't live on the exterior of the planet (as we do on the earth e.g.). Life flourished inside the shell-like bowels, while the "surface" of the world is barren. Unlike planets of our universe, Atreia resembles two hollow hemispheres (or rather, "hemi-shells") with a single axle tower, the Tower of Eternity, connecting the centers of the two halves. Pyra and Mythra´s position is exactly the same, and both Cecily and Cathe & Pyra and Mythra are artificial beings.Atreia is the "planet" in the Aion universe where the game is played. Also, Pyra and Mythra standing in front of Aion seems to resemble the chamber of Proto Omega with Cecily and Cathe from Xenosaga Episode II: Jenseits von Gut und Böse.

He ends up being the first one to reach Elysium while he is unable to kill Klaus, he goes to activate Aion. Malos later tells the party that he plans to reach Elysium, kill the Architect, and then use Aion to destroy Alrest, claiming it is an Aegis' duty to do so. Rex then awakens Pyra and Mythra's ascended state. When Rex refuses to leave Pyra and Mythra's side at the Gotrock Oracle Ruins at the Cliffs of Morytha, the three are transported into the Aion Hangar, with Pyra claiming Aion to be her true power. Malos first learns about Artifice Aion while repairing his Core Crystal by stealing data from Pyra's. Klaus, however, locks the director out of the Conduit needed to power Aion and instead runs his dangerous experiment that would create Alrest.Īion briefly stirs when Mythra awakened a portion of Pneuma's power during her battle with Malos during the Aegis War. The rebels manage to destroy many of the Siren mechs guarding the station, and the director of the station orders Aion to be activated as a last resort. Sometime in the 21st Century, the Beanstalk and the First Low Orbit Station were under the attack of rebels known as the Saviorites.
